4 suspected robbers killed in police shootout in Harding

Four suspected robbers have been killed in a shoot-out with police in Harding, in southern KZN.

It's understood that the gang allegedly robbed a businessman after he withdrew money from a bank at the local mall.
KZN police say a team of officials from the Hawks, K9 and other units had already received word that a robbery was going to be executed.

Police spokesperson Robert Netshiunda says detectives approached the suspects, who opened fire on them.
He says police retaliated, killing four of them.
"Police are still chasing more suspects who fled the scene in two vehicles. A firearm? as well as the money, was found was found in the possession of the suspect. Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of the suspects is urged to contact the nearest police station or call the crime stop number."
