Small plane crashes in Durban North

A small plane has crashed at the Beachwood Golf Course in
Durban North.

Two people were on board the light aircraft when it went down near Virginia Airport on Tuesday morning.
ALS Paramedics spokesperson Garrith Jamieson said the two people managed to survive the crash.

"Paramedics arrived on scene to find the eThekwini fire department already in attendance and were shown to wear light aircraft found in the trees.
"Paramedics were informed that two occupants who had been in the aeroplane at the time of the crash were transported privately for medical care.
"The scene was called off by SAPS so that the necessary authorities could investigate the cause of this incident."
